Alfred Russel Wallace - co-discoverer of the Theory of Evolution and who found 2 distinct biogeographic regions separated by the Wallace line that runs through present-day Indonesia. He had a deep connection to S’pore & used it as a base to research the natural history & biodiversity of Southeast Asia with his trusted assistant Ali.
